Deep South Choppers, (DSC) is established as a nationally marketed American v-twin custom motorcycle shop, and now entering in the custom production micro-manufacturing segment with their proprietary line of built-to-order limited production motorcycles, dubbed the SHOCKERS. DSC, based in Baton Rouge (LA), is a turn-key facility, providing hand made quality motorcycles, and selling retail direct to the public. Every motorcycle is carefully fabricated and assembled in-house using America’s finest parts suppliers and brands with experienced, passionate technicians.

Done with the expensive, long wheel base and fat rear tire craze, Deep South Choppers is going back to the roots of American V-Twin customizing as it was right after WWII, and re-building the modern American custom production V-Twin motorcycle. Stripped down; bobbed rear fender, small 'peanut' styled fuel tank, absent front fender, solo seat, straight pipes, and anything to make the bike more responsive and faster for the pure enjoyment of what motorcycles should be – all at under $20k. Introducing the SHOCKERS. Click Here.

Their business plan of selling retail direct cuts out the middleman dealer, driving the price down to an affordable number with direct communication and logistics for each customer. Service and warranty work can be performed at the customer’s nearest reputable motorcycle shop. Customers can watch their bike being built, with the builder’s photos and notes in a Blog format in the PROJECTS section.

The Baton Rouge, (LA) based custom motorcycle shop and manufacturer, Deep South Choppers (DSC), was formed in 2004 by the Mannino family to build custom tailored motorcycles per customer on a built-to-order supply and demand business philosophy – building motorcycles in a wide price range of $20k to $80k. Never wanting to expand operations to large overheads and complicated inventory, their family oriented atmosphere welcomes all that desire to indulge in the biker lifestyle with a comfortable, dedicated and efficient business and work ethics. Experienced builders, no-frills shop, and the cliché Southern style character enable DSC to provide a quality motorcycle at a great price with respectful customer service.

In 2002, Dennis Mannino and Nephew Brad, were working on another Hot Rod project (1930 Ford) when they saw a new series on TV about building motorcycles. Knowing that most of the required mechanical skills transfer over from autos to motorcycles, they new that building bikes would be their next destination, their futures' fate.

Dennis Mannino (Nickname "D") - Co-Owner & CEO

Dennis was born and raised in the Deep South, Baton Rouge Louisiana. Growing up, Dennis and his family always had Hot Rods and old car restoration projects going on. Dennis was 14 years old when he and his Dad restored a 1964 1/2 Mustang (Dennis' personal car). At 16 years old, Dennis worked on a 1929 Ford Model A, putting in his own personal touch - turning it into a true custom Hot Rod.

Today, he's enjoying his successful company that he and his family built from the ground up - one brick at a time - from the dedicated work ethic he learned and gained though out the years.

Dennis' responsibilities are running the corporate side of the business, with motorcycle design and hands-on building as his technical specialties.

Brad Mannino - Co-Owner & Production Manager

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, as a kid Brad started helping his Dad sand down cars as they were restoring them. As he got older, he started developing a passion for customizing and painting cars. He worked at a few paint and body shops painting cars and eventually a custom car shop before finally settling in with Dennis to customize bikes for customers. He still dabs in the custom auto world in his spare time.

Today, he's a cornerstone of DSC with his God-given mechanical abilities and creative ideas.

Brad's specialties are broad and fall within the design, fabrication, assembly, paint, wiring, and maintenance realms.

Bo Kutej (koo-shay) - Lead Fabricator
With over 18 years experience in steel fabrication and design, he originally learned his trade by his grampaw who owned one of the biggest wrecking yards in south Texas. His experienced and qualifications are an integral part in making every DSC bike safe and reliable.

Troy Austin - Service Manager
Troy brings to Deep South Choppers 3 dacades of riding and wrenching on anything with engines and mechanical parts. His specialties are, well... pretty much everything - from Harleys' to Busas' and everything else inbetween.
