We set out to design, engineer and fabricate the best bike possible, bottom line. And it starts with the frame. Understanding that the H-D Dyna style suspension design is one of the best performing systems ever produced, we knew that was the direction to go for our handling performance geared SHOCKER. But the difference is between DSC and H-D is that we made it look good.
DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) Seamless Tube is very effective and strong due to the high strength from the cold working process. It’s actually a friction pressure lap weld that forms the tube, resulting in a seamless and bulletproof tube. The extreme pressure and friction from the spinning roller welds the pipe.
Though the H-D 80" EVO is a very smooth running engine, it's still a 45° solid mounted v-twin engine that distributes harmonic vibration throughout the entire motorcycle, most of which starts its path at the frame's backbone then travels from there. In addressing this issue, we have engineered the backbone of the frame with a very thick 0.250" wall tubing, and heavy duty tubing throughout the entire motorcycle frame, which works to dissipate and hold up to the vibration for better rider comfort and overall vehicle reliability.
We engineered the SHOCKER to perform top notch. That's why we designed the bike to have 5.5" of ground clearance, which is more than our competitors - even H-D's Dyna models. We like to carve the corners on our bikes, not just look cool. Combine the great ground clearance with the low seat height and a very manageable vehicle weight - we've got a bike that is built for a wide range of people's physical stature and riding experience.
We know what we're doing, so we're backing all this engineering talk with a lifetime warranty on the frame.
